Missionaries under the patronage of Mary Queen
The Pious Union of Apostolic Missionaries Sons of Mary Queen comprises priests, religious, seminarians, and faithful who, according to their state, cooperate in the spiritual and apostolic aims of the work.
It does not originate from a desire to introduce novelties, but from the will to preserve and transmit what the Church has received.
Sacred Scripture, Apostolic Tradition, the constant teaching of the Magisterium, Catholic theology, and traditional ecclesiastical discipline constitute the foundation of our formation.
The General Direction is based in Switzerland.
The apostolate also extends to several countries, particularly where the need for priestly assistance, catechesis, and works of mercy is greatest.

Why «Pious Union»
The denomination Pious Union belongs to the proper language of the canonical discipline of the Church.
The Code of Canon Law of 1917, in can. 707 §1, thus defines associations of the faithful established for works of piety or charity:
«Associationes fidelium quae ad exercitium alicuius operis pietatis aut caritatis erectae sunt, nomine veniunt piarum unionum.»
Our work finds its reference in this ancient ecclesiastical concept: faithful, priests, religious, and missionaries united for the glory of God, the sanctification of souls, the practice of piety, and works of mercy.
In the present extraordinary condition of the Church, the denomination is assumed according to its traditional meaning, without claiming an ordinary jurisdiction or a formal canonical erection not received.
Our spiritual life
From the altar to the mission
The heart of our life is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass according to the Traditional Roman Rite.
From the altar the priest receives strength for the ministry; to the altar he leads the souls entrusted to his care.
The spiritual life of the Sons of Mary Queen is nourished by the Most Holy Eucharist, the Holy Rosary, meditation on the Passion of Our Lord, devotion to the Most Precious Blood and the Holy Face, veneration of the Blessed Virgin, the Angels, and the Saints, prayer for the souls in Purgatory, and works of mercy.
Piety is not separated from doctrine, nor the apostolate from the interior life.
Every work must proceed from prayer and lead to God.
Mary Queen
Mother and Patroness of our work
The name Sons of Mary Queen expresses a particular filial consecration to the Blessed Virgin.
Mary is venerated as the Mother of God and Queen of the Apostles.
To Her are entrusted priests, seminarians, religious, missionaries, benefactors, the sick, and all who have recourse to the prayers of the Pious Union.
We venerate Her particularly under the titles of:
- Mary Queen of the Apostles
- Mary Queen of Victories
- Mary Help of Christians
- Mary Refuge of Sinners
Every true Marian devotion leads to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Founder
H.E. Most Rev. Msgr. Pietro Paolo Maria Audia
The Pious Union of Apostolic Missionaries Sons of Mary Queen was founded by His Excellency the Most Reverend Msgr. Pietro Paolo Maria Audia.
Having drawn near to religious life from his youth, he received a formation rooted in traditional Catholic spirituality and later dedicated his ministry to the sacred Liturgy, preaching, catechesis, and the missionary apostolate.
He received priestly ordination in 2021.
On October 5, 2024, in La Ferté-Gaucher, France, he received episcopal consecration through the Pontificale Romanum in the traditional form and in the Latin language.

After the episcopal consecration, Msgr. Audia gave greater structure to the work of the Sons of Mary Queen, consolidating priestly formation, internal discipline, and the missionary apostolate.
The episcopate is understood as a graver obligation of service toward God and souls, not as a dignity sought for itself.
Our ecclesial position
Preserving while waiting
The Pious Union recognizes itself as belonging to the Roman Catholic Church and does not intend to constitute a distinct confession or a new ecclesiastical authority.
We believe that the grave crisis traversed by the Church has brought about an extraordinary situation in the exercise of supreme authority.
For this reason, the apostolate is carried out ad necessitatem Ecclesiae, so that, as far as depends on us, the priesthood, the Sacraments, Catholic worship, and the spiritual assistance of the faithful do not fail.
We do not claim a diocese nor an ordinary ecclesiastical jurisdiction.
We await the restoration of the legitimate exercise of pontifical authority.
When such authority can once again be recognized with certainty, we intend to submit to the judgment of the Supreme Pontiff our ecclesiastical condition, the works undertaken, and the acts performed in the state of necessity.
The Papacy belongs to the divine constitution of the Church. The present condition is therefore not considered definitive.
We pray that God may grant to the Church the full restoration of Her visible authority.
