Mgr Pietro Paolo Maria Audia
I am a traditionalist Catholic bishop of sedevacantist orientation and founder of the Pia Unione dei Missionari Apostolici Figli di Maria Regina.
My priestly and episcopal ministry
My ecclesial life began in childhood. My formation encompasses philosophy, theology, traditional Roman liturgy, catechesis, missionary life and spiritual accompaniment.
I was ordained a priest in 2021 in the traditional Roman rite by Mgr Marcelo Pires de Oliveira. On 5 October 2024, at the Domaine de Marie-Reine in La Ferté-Gaucher, France, I received episcopal consecration from Mgr Jean-Gérard Roux, with Mgr Marcelo Pires de Oliveira and Mgr Jonas Maria Roeggla as co-consecrators. The succession is traditionally traced to Archbishop Pierre Martin Ngô Đình Thục, ad necessitatem Ecclesiae.
Ecclesial orientation
My orientation is sedevacantist. This perspective regards the doctrinal, disciplinary and liturgical changes since Vatican II as incompatible with earlier Catholic teaching, and considers the Apostolic See vacant. Its reference remains the Roman Catholic Church, her tradition, earlier Magisterium, liturgy and discipline.
The Pia Unione
The Pia Unione works in spiritual and religious formation, catechesis, liturgy, preparation of seminarians and religious candidates, missionary apostolate, spiritual assistance and charity. The Missionarie Apostoliche Figlie di Maria Regina form its female branch.
Formation and studies
Spiritual counsellor — 700 hours, UNIBRATEP – Escola Premium, Brazil: active listening, empathy, pastoral communication, discernment, family accompaniment, conscience, ethics, confidentiality, limits and referral to other professionals.
Psychotherapy studies — 920 hours. Clinical psychoanalysis studies — 840 hours. These enrich listening and understanding and are complementary education, not Swiss professional qualifications as a psychologist or psychotherapist.
Spiritual accompaniment
I offer space to speak freely, reflect on life and make decisions with greater awareness. Accompaniment respects personal freedom and supports self-understanding, responsibility and the relationship with God.
Catechesis and Christian formation
Meetings, online broadcasts, courses and publications address Catholic doctrine, traditional liturgy, Scripture, sacraments, sacramentals, prayer, Mary, angels, the last things, Purgatory, discernment, spiritual warfare, deliverance, exorcism and the Holy Face of Jesus.
My mission
Jesus Christ and the transmission of the Catholic faith remain the centre of my ministry: tradition, formation, prayer and accompaniment.
